How to Use CryptSecure

Simple, intuitive workflow for maximum security.

1

Create or Import Keys

Use the built-in Key Manager to create RSA keypairs (1024, 2048, or 4096 bits) or import existing keys. Your keys are stored in your chosen folder — you control the location.

2

Exchange Public Keys

Share your public key with anyone you want to communicate with. They share theirs with you. Public keys can be sent over any channel — even insecure ones.

3

Encrypt Your Message

Select the recipient’s public key, type your message, attach files if needed, add an optional passphrase, and click Encrypt. CryptSecure produces a secure encrypted envelope.

4

Send & Decrypt

Send the encrypted file via email, chat, or any method. Only the recipient’s private key can decrypt it. The transport channel doesn’t matter — zero-trust security.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is CryptSecure really free? +
Yes, CryptSecure is completely free to download and use from the Microsoft Store. No subscriptions, no premium tiers, no hidden costs.
Does it require an internet connection? +
No. CryptSecure works 100% offline. It never connects to the internet, never sends data anywhere, and never communicates externally. Your encryption happens entirely on your device.
How do I share encrypted messages? +
First, exchange public keys with your recipient (this can be done over any channel — even insecure ones). Then encrypt your message using their public key and send the encrypted output via email, chat, file transfer, or any method you prefer. Only their private key can decrypt it.
What file types can I encrypt? +
Any file type — PDFs, Word documents, images, ZIP archives, executables, videos, spreadsheets, databases — anything. CryptSecure also supports encrypting entire folders (automatically zipped).
What if I lose my private key? +
If you lose your private key, messages encrypted with your public key cannot be decrypted — by anyone, including you. This is by design. We recommend backing up your private keys securely (e.g., encrypted USB drive stored safely).
Is this as secure as PGP? +
CryptSecure uses the same hybrid RSA + AES architecture as PGP and S/MIME. It supports RSA keys up to 4096 bits and AES-256 encryption. The main difference is CryptSecure is simpler to use — no command line required.
